School's out!
AAAAAHHHHHH!!! My exams are over!!! The semester is over!!! What a relief!
H-O-L-Y C-O-W, this felt like the longest semester in my life! That graduate-level remote sensing course was a heck of a lot of work, but I'm so glad I survived it, with pretty good grades. ^_^ I'm also relieved that I did well in the other three courses (all 300-level), too. I remember earlier in the semester, when people would ask me what courses I'm taking, and I would name them, the reaction I'd get is, "OMG, you're doing Hydrology, Climatology, GIS AND remote sensing all together?? They're all very demanding courses! That's completely insane!" (At which point I would get really worried as to whether picking those classes were a bad idea). But the fact that I'm typing this right now shows that I'm still alive, and more or less in one piece! ;p
Now, time to let my brain unwind! At least until my field course starts (hmm, next Monday).
It's spring!
Man, it's such a relief that it's been a lot warmer lately! Spring has finally come to Montreal! lol, I remember there was this one time in high school when there was a blizzard in the middle of April. My climatology prof once made a joke about Canadian weather, saying that the first snowfall marks the beginning of the "psychological six months of winter".
*sigh* It's so beautiful out right now; the sky is a bright blue, the sun is shining, but I'm busy like crazy with schoolwork. Let's see, a Hydrology assignment for Tuesday, the Climatology team project also for Tuesday, the GIS research project for Thursday...oh, and let's not forget the research project for Remote Sensing. I have to give a presentation in front of the class about my research on urban expansion in North and South Korea using Landsat Multispectral Scanner and Enhanced Thematic Mapper satellite imagery. It's not so much the 'talking in front of the class' part that's stressing me out, it's the fact that they'll be judging my work. Eek, I hope it won't suck! :o

Ehehehehe, this one is sheer brilliance. ^_^

Starbucks

Heehee, I didn't know they had a Starbucks in Minas Tirith! Whoever edited this pic did a pretty good job; it looks so real! She or he even got the shading to look realistic, too!
BTW, this pic came from

The king has come!

Now this is an amusing picture. Here's a group of emperor penguins, plus a dude dressed up as an emperor penguin as part of an April Fool's Day gag (the zoo manager, in fact). When the 'giant penguin' showed up, the other penguins gathered towards him and stared up at him in awe. Then he took off his mask and revealed his human face, at which point the penguins walked away, disinterested (and probably disappointed, too).
LOL, can you imagine what the penguins were thinking? Probably something along the lines of:
*gasp* "The great legendary king has come! Freedom is at hand! We will soon - what the..Aw crud, it's just a human. Hmpf, asshole."
