Revenge of the Sith teaser trailer
WHEEEE!!! Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith is coming out next year! The teaser trailer is out, and I can't wait for to see the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan! Oh man, Anakin looks deliciously EVIL when him and Obi-Wan are struggling for control over the lightsaber, and Anakin was having the upper hand. I can't wait!Wednesday, November 10, 2004
Life in a 20-mL vial
I was working in the lab today, filling up test tubes with water samples for DOC (dissolved organic carbon) analysis. The water samples were collected in a river or bay (or some large body of water) and shipped to the lab in a bunch of vials. As I was filling one of the test tubes, I noticed a little flicker of movement inside the vial. When I looked in, I noticed a really tiny, anchovy-shaped creature swimming around inside. The surprising thing is, those samples were collected in early September, and then were stored in the fridge until now; so the little guy was living in a small 20-mL vial for two months! Imagine how bored the little sucker must be, lol!
So just for fun, I decided to keep the tiny fishy in the vial on the lab bench, and I made it the lab mascot (I even named it after one of my profs, hehe ~_^). I guess I'll just hang onto it until I get bored of it, at which point I'll probably just flush him down the toilet.
Crappy crappy midterm
Ugh, today's Environmental Systems midterm didn't go too well. I don't particularly like having to write midterms in class in the MWF schedule; only 50 minutes, and so much to write! I was frantically trying to scribble down everything I could before time ran out. The exam wouldn't have been too hard if we only had more time...well, whatever, hopefully I'll do better on the finals!
