I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban yesterday, and talk about cool! I really love that "Double, Double, Toil and trouble" song the choir sings.
I was a bit disappointed that Cho Chang didn't appear in the film (for those who don't know, Cho is the Ravenclaw Seeker whom Harry ultimately develops a huge crush on). Admittedly she only makes a brief appearance in the book (she's only there during the Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw quidditch match), so I guess I'll forgive the director this time. >:(
I was checking some HP sites, and fortunately, she WILL be in the next film, HP and the Goblet of Fire. Which is a relief, as she plays a much bigger role in the 4th story and cutting her out would be an outrage. She's going to be played by a British girl of Chinese descent (phew! They respected her ethnicity. If they changed her into a Caucasian girl, I would've been quite upset), named Katie Leung. But there already seems to be some Leung-bashing going on, even though filming has barely started! I was checking out several message boards, and there were a lot of girls saying things like, "OMG, SHE'S playing Cho? She's so ugly!" and "They totally chose the wrong actress. She's not pretty enough." These people are obviously just jealous, because so far there only seems to be 2 pictures of Leung on the entire web, and in both photos you can't get a very good look at her face. So I really don't know where they're getting the idea that she's ugly. She looks fine to me. Just goes to show how superficial many people are.
I also heard rumours that we're going to see Harry and Cho kiss in the 4th film (that isn't supposed to happen until the 5th; Harry asks Cho out in the 4th, but another guy beats him to it, and it isn't until the next book that they go out). Oh, you know what? THAT'S probably the number one reason why all those girls are bashing Leung! 'Cause she gets to kiss Harry Potter and they don't! LOL Suckers. ;p
Anyway, I'm happy for her. Knock'em dead, Leung! Make us Cho fans proud! ^_^
The road goes ever on and on...
