The road goes ever on and on...

Man, going to and from McGill takes such a long time, at least an hour each ride. I’m probably going to fall asleep on the bus (or train) every day, lol! I fell asleep on the bus ride home after the chemistry orientation, even though I got enough sleep the ride before. Something about being stuck in a bus in the middle of a traffic jam which makes you drowsy…

Anywho, I finally have an allergy test scheduled for mid-September. Soon I’ll find out if I’m at all allergic to dogs. I better not be! >:( What am I gonna do if I can never get a doggie of my own?! Disaster! Speaking of dogs, what kind would I like to get? I really like Beagles now. I’ve had a fondness for Beagles ever since adopting (and losing) Maya. She was part beagle, part cocker spaniel. She sort of looked like a labrador retriever puppy. I’d also really like to get a Golden Retriever; they’re real cool! Shelties are awesome as well, except that all that long fur would demand much grooming on my part. Let’s see, what else…oh yeah, I think Jack Russell terriers (like Wishbone) are SO cute!!! They’re so full of energy!

I’ve even thought of some names if I get some dogs; for a girl: Misty, Padmé, Arwen, Eevee or Lilo; for a boy: Tobey, Pikachu, Frodo, Pippen, Legolas, Stitch or Anakin. Cute names, eh?

Yikes yikes yikes, university's starting in a couple of weeks!!! Wait, it's less than that...more like a week and a half! Eep! :O Blech, it's so complicated trying to plan the courses; they've gotta be taken in the appropriate semester with the appropriate prerequisites already done, the friggin' time slots have to fit well together, you've gotta nab a spot in the courses before they fill up and leave you stuck outside, yadda yadda yadda. I certainly hope that the workload won't be ludicrously excessive; after all, there are so many people saying that university is 'so much harder than cegep' and such. You know what pisses me off? When I hear people saying that cegep was 'so easy' and that you 'hardly need to work'. WHAT THE HELL??!! I worked my ass off during cegep, so how is it possible that some people had time to slack off?! Well, they're probably the same people who say that university is dramatically harder than cegep; I heard from some people that students who were used to goofing off in high school and college are usually overwhelmed when university rolls around, because they're not used to working their butts off. In fact, I heard that some of those brainiacs who got good grades without trying very hard also have a difficult time adapting to university because they don't know how to work as hard as they should. So hopefully, since I sure as hell know how to take my studies really really seriously, the transition won't be a nasty shocker or anything.

I wonder if I should go for Honours in chemistry. They said that Honours is advantageous for people who intend to go on to graduate studies. Also, there are these things called 'Research Projects', where the students are given a subject and a supervisor, and they have to research it during the semester and give a big-ass report and presentation at the end. It sounds kinda intimidating, but it also offers a lot of experience for the real world. Not only that, you can also get hired by a research company during the summer break and earn lots of $$$. That sounds more interesting than coiling books all summer ;-) .

Speaking of coiling books, man, I don't think I'll be going back to that summer job, not unless I'm desperate. I estimate that I must've coiled about 40,000 books during my work term. I don't even want to look at another coil, lmao. Well, at least I got to sit down all day, unlike everyone else, who had to spend hour after hour on their feet. At least the pay was reasonable: $7.50/hour and about $11.25 for every overtime hour. I actually got a raise for my last several weeks: $9.50/hour and about $14.25 for overtime hours. That was pretty cool :D . I hope that next year I can find a better job, though!

Back again. Just watched a bit of the 2002 MTV Movie Awards; Lord Of The Rings won for Best Movie of the Year! I would've been so pissed off if Fast And The Furious beat it.

Can't wait 'til Two Towers comes out ^_^ . The battle scenes look awesome in the trailer, with the midieval-type castle raid. Imagine landing a role in one of those movies? That would be so cool! (Although being in the next Star Wars movie would be even cooler ;-) )

DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!! I typed this big-ass text and then my blog had to screw up on me!!! UGH!!! Okay, from now on, I'd better type my stuff on a word processor and then copy and paste. I hate it when this kind of thing happens! Bleh, I don't feel like retyping it all now. Maybe tomorrow. I'm out.

Okay, this whole Blog thing might take a while to get used to...anyway, I couldn't even decide what background to use, hehe. This one'll do for now.

Alrighty, here is my first blog! Here is where I will rant and rave, whine and complain, meditate and ponder, joke and jest...well, you get the idea. Anywho, I probably won't be posting stuff everyday, but whatever, I'll type up new stuff whenever I feel like complaining! LOL ^_^
